On the Capacity of Bi-static Modulated Re-scatter Systems

چکیده
In ambient re-scatter1 communications, devices convey information by modulating and re-scattering the radio frequency signals impinging on their antennas. In this correspondence, we consider a system consisting of a modulated continuous carrier multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) link (primary) and a multi-antenna modulated re-scatter (MRS) node (secondary), where the MRS node uses the signal generated by the primary transmitter. The receiver tries to decode both the original transmitted message and the information added by the MRS antennas. We show that the sum capacity of this system exceeds that, which the MIMO system could achieve alone. We also consider the impact of channel estimation errors under least squares channel estimation. The results suggest that the estimation error has negative impact on the capacity, however, its severity can be minimised by increasing the number of receiver antennas.

Assembly lines are special kinds of production systems which are of great importance in the industrial production of high quantity commodities. In many practical manufacturing systems, configuration of assembly lines is fixed and designing a new line may be incurred huge amount of costs and thereby it is not desirable for practitioners. متن کاملEstimating the Real Capacity of Rain Erosion Using GIS (The Fournier Case Study for Isfahan)
Interpolation, the generalization of point data to scatter data, and combining maps are three cases of important applications of GIS. In this study, it has been tried to make the estimation of rain erosion capacity (Fournier Method) more real through using GIS capability in interpolation and the generalization of point data to scatter data. In Fournier method, the rain erosion capacity is calcu...

In recent years, determining bearing capacity of piles from in-situ testing data as a complement to static and dynamic analysis has been used by geotechnical engineers. In this paper, different approaches for estimating bearing capacity of piles from SPT data are studied and compared. A new method based on N value from SPT is presented. Data averaging, failure zone and plunging failure of pil...
